Chaweng
Chaweng is the island’s most established and popular beach area. It is one of Samui´s longest and stretches over 7 kilometers. The area is one of the most popular and developed of Samui´s beaches. With many bars, quality restaurants and a myriad of shops, Chaweng is the nightlife centre of the island. On the beach itself is a selection of quieter bars and restaurants, offering a relaxing evening with a superb view of the Gulf of Thailand
Lamai
Located in the South east of Samui and 10 kilometers South of Chaweng is the picturesque area of Lami. Here you will find the famous Grandfather and Grandmother rocks. Lamai´s main attractions are its open markets and the old monastery, which includes a local museum. There area also peaceful coconut and fruit plantations situated on the back roads of Lamai.
Bophut
This is undoubtedly one of the most charming beach spots on the whole of Koh Samui. Bophut is one of the oldest villages on the island and has maintained its old world’s style. The two kilometre white sandy beach and the calm waters of the bay make this a popular spot for relaxing. Depsite its old world style a number of trendy restaurants and shops have been established in this area.
Choeng Mon Beach
Choeng Mon beach is located only 15 minutes from Chaweny and is one of the most beautiful spots on the island. Choeng Mon beach is in a protected cove and remains a calm and peaceful location for those lazy days in the sun.
